A leading cause of coating failure is disbandment between the coating and substrate. This may occur via improper surface preparation, migrating corrosion, or both.

Maxon Technologies manufactures a coating primer, CRS, that removes the need to blast metal, providing a solid surface to bond too AND removes oxygen from the surface layer of the substrate. The removal of oxygen, a key component of the corrosion equation, virtually stops all corrosion on the substrate for 10+ years. And because this penetrates the surface of the substrate as opposed to adhering to it, disbondment can not occur.
